Immune Boosting Lemon Ginger Dressing

Homemade dressings are a beautiful way to add more nourishment for the body and allows us to avoid the often inflammatory oils, sugar and other additives in conventional dressings. It also tastes ~ thee ~ most lovely, and gives my meals a lot of extra flavor I wouldn’t have otherwise.

This ones rich in gut loving nutrients from lemon, ginger, garlic and mustard seeds; it helps lowers inflammation (key for so many things, including brain and heart health); and it deeply supportive of the immune system. It’s especially anti-microbial and rich in antioxidants — so much body love. Enjoy!


INGREDIENTS


Lemon Ginger Dressing

1/2 c lemon juice *

1/2 c olive oil

2 tsp ginger juice

2 cloves garlic, finely minced

2-3 tsp raw honey (manuka honey a bonus)

1 tsp dijon

1/4 tsp himalayan salt


METHOD


Add everything to a jar and shake.

Refrigerate. Keeps for approx. 1 week.

* If you have the patience to zest the lemons first, add 1 tbs to the dressing to raise the antioxidant content. Lemon peels are full of good for you bioflavonoids.
